The Journey

Life is not a destination; it's a journey. It's not a series of goals; it's a series of steps, of events unfolding as you make your way. Life is not all about accomplishment; it's all about doing, participating, progressing, growing, and learning. Mike Hernacki

"Don't let someone else's opinion of you become your reality." -- Les Brown

Drive

Getting ahead in a difficult profession requires avid faith in yourself. That is why some people with mediocre talent, but with great inner drive, go much further than people with vastly superior talent. Sophia Loren

Change

The only thing that one really knows about human nature is that it changes. Change is the one quality we can predicate of it. The systems that fail are those that rely on the permanency of human nature, and not on its growth and development. The error of Louis XIV was that he thought human nature would always be the same. The result of his error was the French Revolution. It was an admirable result. Oscar Wilde

Gone...Fishing

I haven't been here in quite a while and did pledge to return far more often than I have, but so much has been going on. I suppose it was time for me to indulgence in all that the world offers so that I have what to write about. That I certainly have found and look forward in August to developing a routine, which includes daily blog posting.

In the interim, enjoy the summer. I know I am.

Never Look Down

"The present is a rope stretched over the past. The secret to walking it is, you never look down."
-- Sean Stewart
